From Broken Stray to Beloved Companion: Duofu’s Journey to Joy

The first time the woman spotted the dog, he was standing alone on the street, his frail body a heartbreaking sight. His once-thick coat had almost completely fallen out due to severe skin disease, leaving only patchy fur clinging to his emaciated frame. His new family quickly embraced him, trimming his nails, feeding him nutritious meals, and showing him the gentle care he so desperately needed. Once, Duofu must have been a cherished pet before abandonment forced him to survive on the streets. Now, he was experiencing love again, and his body and spirit responded.

Day by day, Duofu grew stronger. His limp remained, but his energy returned. His skin healed, soft fur began to grow back, and soon his true Alaskan Malamute beauty started to shine through. More importantly, his spirit brightened. His once-guarded eyes now sparkled with hope, and he wore a joyful smile that reflected the healing power of love.

Doctors discovered no serious illnesses—only a calcium deficiency that could be corrected with proper nutrition. With each passing day, Duofu became more affectionate, pawing at his rescuer as if to say thank you. Seeing him regain both his health and happiness filled her with relief and pride.

As one rescuer put it, “Once the soul is filled with love, the flesh and blood flourish.” Duofu’s story is proof of that truth.
