Puppy Thrown From Car Finds Love After Rescue
A three-month-old puppy’s life nearly ended in unthinkable cruelty when her owners stuffed her into a bag and threw her out of a car by a bridge. Their intention was for her to tumble into the ravine below, but fate intervened. The bag struck a guardrail, and the tiny pup managed to wriggle free. Shaken and terrified, she scrambled to the side of the road, trembling beside fast-moving traffic.

That’s where Prue from Mission Paws’ible came in. Braving the busy roadway, she tried to reach the frightened puppy. But the little one, too scared to understand the kindness being offered, barked defensively. Prue knew she needed to gain the pup’s trust quickly — and she found the perfect solution. Returning to her car, she grabbed some lasagna. The delicious scent proved irresistible, and slowly the puppy’s fear gave way to cautious hope. That shared meal became the turning point in her rescue.
Once safe in Prue’s arms, the puppy began her journey away from the nightmare she’d endured. Prue already had several dogs at home and with clinics closed for the day, she called on a trusted friend for help. The pup, now named Ellie, went into foster care where she could rest, eat, and finally feel safe.
